It’s 11:11 a.m. on November 11th, but the town hall in Unterhaching doesn’t really look like carnival yet. Instead of princely robes and princess dresses, the Gleisenia delegation appeared in lederhosen and dirndls. Mayor Wolfgang Panzer was not surprised, as it is a tradition in the community: in the morning, an inaugural visit to the center of power, and in the evening, the princely couple will be proclaimed at the festive Black and White Ball in the Hachinga Hall. But at least Panzer knows in the morning who he has to hand over the key to the town hall for the coming weeks until Ash Wednesday on February 22: the Gleisenia prince couple Rebecca I. and Niklas I.
