The carmaker Porsche has to temporarily stop production of its Taycan e-sports car in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen due to missing components as a result of the war in Ukraine. A spokesman said it would be suspended from Wednesday afternoon until the end of next week. At the Porsche plant in Leipzig, production will start again next week with reduced operation because the supply situation has improved. At Porsche – as with other car manufacturers – there is a lack of so-called cable harnesses, most of which are manufactured at locations in the Ukraine. Suppliers have suspended work to protect employees.
