Cardiac arrest: Woman saves friend – thanks to instructions over the phone – Munich

With only guidance over the telephone, a young woman in Munich resuscitated her partner after a cardiac arrest and saved his life. She discovered early on Wednesday morning that the 31-year-old could no longer be woken up and was no longer showing any signs of life, as the fire department reported in the evening. Shortly before half past five in the morning, the Munich control center received the emergency call.

The paramedic on duty asked the woman’s exact state of health and decided to instruct her on the phone to perform resuscitation. Despite her state of emergency, her partner was able to implement the measures very well. The emergency doctor and the rescue team, who arrived after a few minutes, took the man to the hospital. The woman was cared for by a crisis intervention team.

Hours later, the emergency services received the news: After a few procedures and further measures in the clinic, the 31-year-old was sitting in his bed and was able to have a normal conversation with his girlfriend.
