Cardi B has joined the voice cast of the upcoming ‘Baby Shark’ animated film

You might think it’s an early April Fool’s joke, but a priori not… Cardi B and her family are going to dive into the world of Baby Shark, for an animated film directed by Alan Foreman (Welcome to the Casagrandes) and his friends in Chomp City, the big city of sharks.

All in the deep end

Cardi B will play Sharki B, her husband Offset will lend his voice to Offshark, while their children Kulture and Wave will play Kulture Sharki and Wavey Shark, as seen on the poster shared by Paramount+, the broadcaster, on Instagram yesterday. The film will first be available on the platform in the United States later this year, before the rest of the world.

This feature film will also feature the voices of the usual actors of the series including Kimiko Glenn (Orange Is the New Black) as Baby Shark. Other characters will be entrusted to personalities, such as Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical) who will play Stariana, pop star of the sea.

Launched on YouTube in November 2015, the show was the first video in the world to reach 10 billion views on the platform. She offered hit songs (much to the delight of parents), but also the #BabySharkChallenge, which generated over a million cover videos worldwide.
