The BMW CFO is satisfied and looks to the future with optimism. The company is well on the way to achieving its annual targets.

BMW sees itself well on the way to achieving its annual targets in the final quarter. In October, the sales figures remained below those of the previous year, but were a little better than expected, as CFO Nicolas Peter said on Tuesday.

November also started well. New car prices and the financial services division are creating optimism. This benefits from the comparatively high price level for used vehicles, because leasing returns can be sold more expensively than expected.

BMW wants to take the momentum with it into the coming year, in which the Dax group basically expects growth. In the first six months, the delivery problems for semiconductors would play an even greater role than in the second half of the year, which should then be better, said Peter. The group wants to take advantage of the favorable price environment for the company. “At the beginning of the year we will increase the prices by an average of one percent,” said Peter. In order not to start a price war, the low vehicle stocks at dealerships should also be kept low.
