Cannabis legalization: This is how the cabinet smokes weed – not

It has been almost a week since the federal cabinet decided to partially legalize cannabis. The purchase and possession of up to 25 grams of marijuana or hashish will remain unpunished in the future, as will the private cultivation of up to three hemp plants. The Bundestag still has to pass the law, which should still require some debates. It’s not all that simple.

The “Spiegel” just gave a little insight into the drug expertise of the traffic light. In the coalition negotiations, the Greens had proposed making even the possession of 30 grams of cannabis exempt from punishment. Hardly anyone was able to judge whether that was a lot or a little, says one person who was there at the time: “First we had to think about how many grams go into a joint.”

Wait a minute: Do they actually know what they are deciding? The star therefore sent an email to all federal ministries with a short question: When did the minister last use cannabis himself?

The answers are underwhelming.
