Trees were uprooted, houses destroyed. A violent tornado swept across the Canadian province of Alberta on Saturday, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake. According to local media, at least 12 houses were badly damaged and some were completely destroyed. The rural area of Carstairs and Mountain View County, located in the south of the province, was particularly affected. The hurricane hit the region on Canada Day, the 156th anniversary of the country’s founding. The total number of people affected is not yet known. However, one can already say that there was luck in misfortune. Because nobody died. And only a few people were slightly injured, as the Mayor of Carstairs announced on Saturday.
