Happy rescue in Canada: Fishermen officials there managed to free a humpback whale from lines last week. According to the authority, two of the marine mammals were first discovered off the island of Texada on Canada’s west coast. A whale had apparently become tangled in lines and buoys. They belonged to a crab fishing gear. In a joint action with local fishermen and their boats, the humpback whale was finally freed from its predicament. The animals are among the largest sea creatures and can grow up to 14 meters long and weigh 45 tons.
