For prepaid customers, Vodafone currently offers 50 gigabytes for free with the CallYa annual tariff. But does the deal pay off?
Vodafone’s CallYa offer is aimed at smartphone users who do not want to be tied to a long contract term. With the prepaid version, customers top up their credit every four weeks and are flexible in use. With the annual tariff, the credit is only topped up once a year – this eliminates the need for constant reloading. The CallYa annual tariff regularly costs 99.99 euros and contains 50 gigabytes of data volume. Now there is a savings campaign for a short time that adds another 50 gigabytes.
CallYa annual package with doubled data volume
The CallYa annual tariff is until May 15, 2024 Equipped with double the data volume, instead of 50 there are 100 gigabytes during this period. The data volume can be used flexibly over the year, on average there is 8.3 gigabytes per month for an annual price of 99.99 euros – i.e. 8.33 euros per month. In direct comparison with other prepaid offers, it’s worth it; the CallYa Allnet S tariff costs just under ten euros and contains six gigabytes less data volume.

Overall, this is a strong offer that will particularly please those who prefer prepaid to a mobile phone contract.
The alternative: o2 Prepaid M
If you don’t want the annual tariff and would rather charge your cell phone every four weeks in order to be even more flexible in terms of time, you can take a look at the Prepaid M tariff from o2 as an alternative. Currently, the first month only costs 14.99 euros, after that it is 17.99 euros – but there is also 18 gigabytes of data volume instead of the previous twelve gigabytes. If the whole thing is extrapolated over a year, it is a comparable deal that is actually a little cheaper. However, it needs to be recharged every four weeks.

Prepaid tariffs are particularly popular because of their flexibility. However, they are often a little more expensive than mobile phone contracts. With Vodafone’s current offer, the price-performance ratio is very good, and the deal can keep up with the costs for a comparable contract.
