Forty days after the death of the young Iranian Mahsa Amini, the nationwide protest movement has again called for mass demonstrations. “It is not the time for mourning, but for anger,” said the dpa news agency on a protest call shared on the Internet. The extent to which the call would be followed was still open on Wednesday morning. But there are reports of the first protests. In view of the protests that have been going on for almost six weeks, there are likely to be mass riots and clashes with the security authorities again. They were preparing for nationwide demonstrations. As before, they should proceed with the utmost severity.
