Cabaret songwriter Sarah Hakenberg in the Lustspielhaus – Munich

Welcome back, you could say Sarah Hakenberg next Saturday. The 44-year-old has lived in the Hanseatic city of Warburg since 2015, but grew up in Zorneding and grew up in Munich as a poetry slammer and then a cabaret artist who was awarded the German Cabaret Prize. In 2011, she even wrote a Munich hometown book, “Where Bavaria wears a dirndl with high heels.”

Hakenberg, who belongs to the Celle School, now shows her greatest strength as a songwriter. And so in her new program “Mut zur Tücke” at the Lustspielhaus she will present a lot of rousing insults, sophisticated protest songs and unabashed catchy tunes: about stubborn traditionalists, for example, about gastrointestinal viruses on Christmas Eve or about the love of public service.

Sarah Hakenberg, Saturday, November 11th, 8 p.m., Lustspielhaus, Occamstraße 8, www.lustspielhaus.de
