In the past, cabaret artists became famous under their first names or artificial names. Whole generations grew up with Otto, Loriot and Emil. Emil Steinberger stands for the funny side of Switzerland. After nine years as a postal clerk and studying graphics, the Lucerne native started to do sketches professionally in the late 1960s. First in the self-founded “Kleintheater am Bundesplatz”, from the seventies on in the largest theaters in the German-speaking world.
