BVB loaner Marin Pongracic stepped into the next social media faux pas after his Twitch interview.
After his sensational interview with the comedian SSYNIC in November, BVB professional Marin Pongracic made another mistake on social media.
Pongracic, who has been on loan from VfL Wolfsburg in Dortmund since the summer, made an Instagram post by kicker with “Like”. That post, however, was about the quiet criticism of Sky-Expert Lothar Matthäus on the work of the BVB management.
“If Dortmund and Leipzig worked as well as Mainz and Freiburg, then they would have a chance. It’s not just money,” said the record international kicker The Monday edition of the magazine addressed the dominance of FC Bayern Munich, which is currently heading for the tenth championship in a row.
It is not the first time that Pongracic has acted carelessly on the internet. In November he caused a sensation with an interview on the Twitch channel of the streamer SSYNICbecause in the course of the conversation he divulged numerous internal matters such as the downtime of the then injured top striker Erling Haaland or the amount of the purchase option that BVB has for him.
He also verbally attacked his home club Wolfsburg, saying, for example, that he would “like to grab” the then coach Mark van Bommel, under whom he had no longer had a chance. Those responsible for the wolves had started to “fax”, said Pongracic and added: “Then I noticed that they also want me to make room for others. Disgusting.”

VfL sports director Marcel Schäfer announced possible consequences for Pongracic after his interview, the Croatian national player, who was born in Landshut and played among other things in the youth team of FC Bayern, also received a memorandum from BVB.
In addition to a fine, Pongracic also received a public reprimand. “Some of the statements are absolutely wrong in terms of content. You can be sure that we will talk to Marin about it internally,” said licensed player manager Sebastian Kehl.
For BVB, Pongracic was used 15 times in all competitions this season. In the Bundesliga, however, apart from the second half at Hertha (2: 3), where BVB lacked the regular regulars Manuel Akanji and Mats Hummels, he is completely left out. In six of the last seven league games, the 24-year-old sat on the bench for over 90 minutes.
Pongracics loan to BVB ends next summer, the purchase option for the German-Croat amounts to nine million euros according to his own statements. His contract with the wolves runs until 2024.
