BVB: Felix Nmecha celebrates double pack party | Sports

Party instead of protest!

That was a debut: Felix Nmecha (22) promptly shot Dortmund in his first home game with a brace for a 3-1 test win against Ajax Amsterdam. The national player comes in the second half for ex-captain Marco Reus (34) – and immediately shows why he could be worth his mega fee of 30 million euros.

54 minutes: Haller puts down a Bensebaini cross in the centre, Nmecha pushes the ball into the corner with the inside – 2:1!

60 minutes: Combination via Ryerson, Brandt and again Bensebaini, who finds Nmecha on the edge of the penalty area. He delays briefly and executes flat in the middle of the goal – 3:1!

Dortmund celebrates the first Nmecha party!

Before the transfer, there had been protest actions by some BVB fans. The background to this was Nmecha’s controversial internet likes of homophobic posts. But as soon as the newcomers were introduced, the ex-Wolfsburg player was warmly welcomed – after his two goals, the whole stadium euphorically roared his name three times.

Julian Brandt (26) had previously given BVB the lead (6th) after a great cross from Mats Hummels (34). Just a minute later, Hummels wasn’t paying attention at the back and headed in Brian Brobbey to make it 1-1.

Then Nmecha decided the game! The midfield strategist is not actually planned as a regular in the heavily occupied BVB midfield with new captain Emre Can, new signing Marcel Sabitzer and Brandt. His double start is the best recommendation now.
