There is still a lot of speculation about BVB star Erling Haaland’s next club. One of his idols sees Barcelona in a good position.

Former Spanish striker Michu, which Erling Haaland surprisingly counts among his idolsbelieves in a move from Borussia Dortmund to FC Barcelona.

Michu explained that he recently spoke to Haaland and doesn’t think the 21-year-old will stay with BVB beyond the summer Que t’hi jugues. “He gave me the feeling that he was looking for a sporting project that would last for many years and said he liked Spain. The sporting project is more important to him than the financial aspect,” said Michu.

Michu: “Haaland a bargain in these times”

The 35-year-old, who ended his playing career in 2017 and is currently sporting director of Spanish second division club Burgos CF, explained: “If Mbappe goes to Madrid, Barca would be a very good option (for Haaland, ed.). In these times, Haaland is a bargain.”

Michu is alluding to the fact that Haaland can probably leave Dortmund for an exit clause of 75 million euros until 2024, despite the contract. Apart from Barca, the Norwegian is mainly associated with Real Madrid, Manchester United and Manchester City.

Haaland switched from Salzburg to BVB at the beginning of 2020 and has scored 80 goals for the black and yellow in 79 competitive games to date.
