Good times for PS5 fans. Three console drops this week and the pre-order supplies from MediaMarkt and Saturn are ready. And there are other clues.

Update from October 23, 2021: A successful week for everyone who still wanted to buy a PS5. Four or five retailers put 42 new consoles on the digital counter in the calendar week. So it is clear: the lack of supplies in September remained an isolated case for the time being. MediaMarkt, Saturn, Expert, OTTO and Amazon offered the PlayStation 5 for sale over the past seven days.

In addition to this, the still relatively unknown retailer Smyths Toys is also due for supplies, if current developments are to be believed. A specific delivery date for the PS5 recently appeared on the official product page for the PS5 – very suspicious. The actual event followed shortly afterwards. MediaMarkt and Saturn offered the Sony PS5 for sale. The two PS5 dealers had various console bundles on offer: be it packages with additional controllers, games like Death Stranding or simply the PS5 without any accessories. Ordering supplies, however, turned out to be more complicated than one would wish. Technical difficulties meant that only a few players bought the PS5.

Buy PS5: The pre-order campaign from MediaMarkt & Saturn is ready

What about the pre-ordered PS5 consoles? The PS5 drop at MediaMarkt and Saturn came as a particular surprise yesterday, as the two retailers are currently still in the middle of a pre-order campaign for the console. After paying a deposit, players were able to put themselves on a list and can then look forward to a message from MediaMarkt or Saturn when the ordered console arrives at the store. This is exactly what has now happened in many stores.

More and more pre-orderers report reports from MediaMarkt and Saturn that the PS5 is now ready and can be picked up. In this context, yesterday’s PS5 drop does not seem so unusual: Presumably more consoles arrived at MediaMarkt and Saturn than there were pre-orders.
