According to the union-affiliated IMK Institute, the prospects for a very strong economic upswing have recently deteriorated somewhat. The likelihood of a boom in the German economy has recently dropped to 50 percent from a good 61 percent in July, as the economic indicator of the Institute for Macroeconomics and Business Research (IMK) shows Reuters was available on Sunday. At the same time, the risk that a new recession could start in the period from August to the end of October increased slightly at a low level – from 7.2 to 11.4 percent. However, the IMK experts emphasized: “The growth traffic light for the German economy remains on green.”
