Bushido has been charged with suspected community arson. A spokeswoman for the Potsdam public prosecutor’s office confirmed this on Thursday. In addition to the rapper, there are two other accused.
In 2013 there was a fire in Bushido’s villa in Kleinmachnow (Potsdam-Mittelmark district), the police assumed it was arson. The district had previously imposed a construction freeze because conditions on the listed villa had not been complied with. The spokeswoman did not say on Thursday whether the charge by the Potsdam public prosecutor’s office relates to this case. Bushido’s lawyer Steffen Tzschoppe did not want to comment on the indictment at the request of the German Press Agency.
The rapper and his wife Anna-Maria Ferchichi last testified as a witness before the Berlin district court in a trial against a Berlin clan chief. The 43-year-old Bushido had compared his relationship with Arafat Abou-Chaker to a forced marriage. The public prosecutor’s office accuses the clan chief of insulting, depriving him of liberty, attempting serious blackmail, coercion and dangerous bodily harm.
