Bushido after stern revelation: “Stay with my description”

A sound recording casts doubt on the credibility of Bushido’s statement against Arafat Abou-Chaker

In court, Bushido heavily incriminated his former business partner and friend Arafat Abou-Chaker. But research of star suggest the rapper lied. Now Bushido speaks for himself.

He plays a key role in the trial against the Berlin clan leader Arafat Abou-Chaker: rapper Bushido, whose real name is Anis Ferchichi, is the key witness for the prosecution against his former friend and business partner, who is accused of, among other things, serious extortion, deprivation of liberty and dangerous bodily harm will.

The charges are essentially based on Bushido’s account of a meeting on January 18, 2018. Abou-Chaker locked him in his office for more than four hours with the help of two brothers, insulted him, threatened him and hit him in the face. The musician confirmed these statements in court.

But research by the stern could give a new twist to the court proceedings. The magazine reports on a previously unknown recording of the conversation that refutes Bushido’s previous account. Accordingly, the meeting lasted less than two hours, the present audio file contains none of the threats and insults cited by Bushido and no evidence of assaults against him.

Bushido sticks to his description

Regardless, Bushido insists on his account: “I’m sticking with my description of the events of January 18, 2018,” writes the 43-year-old gangster rapper in an Instastory. The recording on which the star is not known to him and he can therefore not check it.

Nevertheless, he tries to spread doubts about the authenticity: It is surprising that almost a year and a half after the start of the trial, “a recording is said to have suddenly appeared that is intended to exonerate the accused and that this recording was not introduced into the trial by the accused, but instead that star is leaked.”

What are the implications of the revelations in star on the process is not yet foreseeable. According to the Code of Criminal Procedure, the secret recording of conversations, such as a taped telephone call, is in principle not permitted and is punishable by law. However, such recordings are not automatically excluded from the procedure – the final decision is made by the competent court.
