An 18-year-old is said to have beaten and sexually harassed a woman in Burgthann (Nürnberger Land district). The man got off at the same S-Bahn stop as the woman in Oberferrieden early Saturday morning and followed her from the train station, the police said on Monday.
When he spoke to her, the woman made it clear to him that she did not want to talk, whereupon he allegedly attacked her and pushed her into an adjacent field. He is also said to have touched her “in a sexually motivated manner,” the police said. The woman fought back and fled, losing her backpack.
She sought help from a family in Oberferrieden, who called the police. Shortly afterwards, the officers found the suspect at the stop in Burgthann. He had the woman’s backpack with him and his clothes were noticeably dirty. He was then arrested. The public prosecutor’s office filed an application for arrest against the 18-year-old. He will probably be brought before an investigating judge on Monday, said a police spokeswoman.
