Burglars stole, among other things, two tons of copper from a scrap shop in Bamberg and tried to poison a dog with prepared sausage. The animal survived because a veterinarian intervened in time, the police said on Wednesday.
According to the information, the burglars broke into the store between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning and stole two tons of copper, 100 euros in cash, 300 liters of diesel and a hard drive. The police estimated the total value of the loot at around 18,000 euros. The unknown perpetrators broke into three office containers and broke several windows.
