These devices are protected by a PIN code. But the criminals took care to take away the passwords. Will the victim lose this money? “Losing your Ledger device does not mean losing your cryptos. Your assets are on the blockchain,” explains the company on its website. To recover them, simply “obtain another Wallet Ledger and enter your secret recovery phrase there”.

It is imperative to keep this phrase “in a safe place,” insists Ledger. This is “the most sensitive data you will have to manage as a crypto owner”. In the event of loss, it becomes “permanently” impossible to access your wallet and the cryptocurrencies it contains.
