After visiting a nightclub, a young woman was hit by a train and killed in the Upper Bavarian district of Altötting. The driver of the freight train had probably not noticed the incident in Burghausen because of the darkness and the fog, the 19-year-old was only later found in the track bed, the police reported on Wednesday.
Relatives had reported the woman from the eastern district of Traunstein missing because she had not come home from Monday to Tuesday night. A search was then started. A short time later, the 19-year-old was discovered on Tuesday. According to the information, an emergency doctor who was called in immediately could only determine the woman’s death. The police are currently assuming an accident.
