Bundestag suffrage: The traffic light presents a proposal. Finally! – Opinion

The traffic light coalition is going through difficult weeks. The SPD and FDP suffered terrible defeats in the state elections. In the nationwide polls, the Union is again clearly in first place. And the chancellor’s reputation has plummeted. He is perceived by many as a procrastinator and hesitant. It is all the more astonishing how courageously the coalition is now moving forward with the reform of the electoral law. There is no hesitation and no hesitation. Your experts want to significantly reduce the size of the oversized Bundestag in one fell swoop. If her proposal goes through, the next Bundestag will have almost 140 fewer MPs. Parliament would have refuted all those who claim it cannot circumcise itself. That would also be good for the acceptance of parliamentary democracy.
