It is Monday afternoon and things are not going according to plan for Andreas Scheuer. Again not. He actually wanted to campaign now. Here, at the Rathausplatz in Aidenbach, at the information booth. Everything canceled. Because there is a fire on Rathausplatz, “Beim Hans”, the local pub. Scheuer’s shoes click over the cobblestones, over to the fire truck. He stops, but does not notice how the turntable ladder swings over his ministerial head. He only notices this when he’s already wet. And people laugh at him. Again.
