Bundesnetzagentur – Müller succeeds Homann – Economy

The federal government has given the green light for the new head of the Federal Network Agency. The consumer advocate Klaus Müller should take over the post, said the Federal Ministry of Economics. The cabinet had previously accepted the proposal. This is followed by the appointment by the Federal President. Müller is the successor to Jochen Homann, who managed the authority for ten years and will retire at the end of February. The Federal Network Agency plays an important role in the implementation of the energy transition, said Economics Minister Robert Habeck. The 51-year-old Müller is well prepared for the task. He was most recently head of the Federal Association of Consumer Organizations.
