Minjae Kim and Dayot Upamecano should be available to FC Bayern again. Thomas Müller is also training again. After two defeats against RB Leipzig, the Munich team wants to turn the tables.

Attacking in the top game: Bayern Munich’s coach Thomas Tuchel has more personnel alternatives for the top Bundesliga game on Saturday (6.30 p.m.) at RB Leipzig.

Central defenders Minjae Kim and Dayot Upamecano, as well as offensive player Thomas Müller, have trained with the team again after injuries. The trio could return to the squad “subject to reservations,” said Tuchel.

De Ligt and Gnabry are missing

Kim, Upamecano and Müller had taken part in team training again the day before. The session wasn’t particularly intense shortly after the 4-0 win in the DFB Cup against Preußen Münster, but there were “no reactions” from the trio. In Münster, midfielder Leon Goretzka and full-back Noussair Mazraoui had to help out in the center of defense. Matthijs de Ligt (hit on the knee) and Serge Gnabry (broken forearm) are definitely missing against Leipzig.

After a 1:3 on matchday 33 of the last Bundesliga season and the 0:3 in the Supercup in August, both in front of their home crowd, the Munich team want to hit back against Leipzig. “The sting is there for now,” admitted Tuchel. “The time has come to turn the tables.” The Bayern coach went on to say that he recognized Leipzig’s strengths, “we are still self-confident enough to go to Leipzig and want to win.”
