Borussia Mönchengladbach is having a mostly disappointing season. After the season, this should be worked on. There is already speculation about possible coach successors.

Under the impression of the lack of a clear commitment to coach Daniel Farke for the coming season, public speculation about the 46-year-old’s possible successor at Borussia Mönchengladbach is increasing.

According to “Bild”, three names are being discussed in the Bundesliga as possible new coaches from the summer: Gladbach’s U23 coach Eugen Polanski, former Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhüttl and former Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane.

Gladbach’s sports director Roland Virkus had announced in the “Rheinische Post” on Monday that he would take a detailed look at the current season. “We’ll sit down and analyze everything, including the coach, of course. We’ll draw our conclusions from the results of this analysis. It’s not just about the coach, it’s about everything,” said Virkus.

No premature separation

An immediate separation after the 2:5 defeat at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday and before the final two games of the season at Bayer Leverkusen and against FC Augsburg is not an issue. “We want to finish the season now, also with this coach. There is no question that we will part ways with Daniel Farke in the next two weeks,” said Virkus.

Farke was only signed at the beginning of the season and has a contract until June 30, 2025. With 39 points, Borussia is eleventh in the table.
