FC Bayern’s search for a coach continues to be fruitless. The Munich team is also said to have asked a former Bundesliga coach from Austria.

Looking for a new head coach FC Bayern Munich have also reportedly made an approach to Oliver Glasner. According to information from Sky, the German football record champions held talks about the Austrian, but received information from Premier League club Crystal Palace that there would be no release for the former Bundesliga coach. Glasner has only been under contract with the Londoners since February and recently led the team to a series of victories.

The 49-year-old is said to have a close relationship with Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund and may therefore have been targeted by the Munich team. Glasner led Eintracht Frankfurt to the Europa League title, before that he worked at VfL Wolfsburg.

After cancellations from Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso, national coach Julian Nagelsmann and Austria’s team boss Ralf Rangnick, Bayern are still looking for a successor to Thomas Tuchel for the new season. Former national coach Hansi Flick, who coached Bayern from 2019 to 2021, is now considered the favorite.
