Bundesliga: Referee Felix Zwayer confirms break

Felix Zwayer will not play any more Bundesliga games for the foreseeable future. After the BVB game against Bayern, he was criticized from several sides.
Bundesliga referee Felix Zwayer has confirmed that he will take a break. In addition, he again expressed his desire to have a personal conversation with Jude Bellingham from BVB.
After referee boss Lutz Fröhlich on Sunday had made public that Felix Zwayer is taking a break, he has now confirmed the process.
“I’m working on the situation,” said the 40-year-old image with a look at what happened at the game between BVB and FC Bayern at the beginning of December.
After Zwayers whistles that were debatable, there was a lot of criticism from BVB at the time, most clearly from Jude Bellingham, who Viaplay said: “You give a referee who has already postponed games the biggest game in Germany. What do you expect?”
Zwayer continues to seek dialogue with Bellingham
Zwayer had already sought an exchange with the same Bellingham at the end of last year, however, this was rejected by BVB. Zwayer is still looking for a dialogue: “I am still very interested in speaking to Jude Bellingham personally. The question is: How do you deal with each other? What consequences can such statements have for a person?”
