Bundesliga: Patrik Schick scores four times in 17 minutes – sport

Bayer 04 Leverkusen – Greuther Fürth 7-1 (3-1), Goals: 1-0 Adli (12th), 2-0 Tapsoba (17th), 2: 1 Dudziak (33rd), 3: 1 Hincapie (45th), 4: 1 Schick (49th), 5: 1 Schick (69th) , 6: 1 Schick (74th), 7: 1 Fancy (76.)

Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski once scored five goals in nine minutes at the height of his ruthlessness against Wolfsburg, in less than nine minutes. The Leverkusen Patrik Schick tried this afternoon to emulate the Pole. It wasn’t five goals in nine minutes, but at least four goals in 27 minutes – the second-fastest four-pack in Bundesliga history, behind Lewandowski of course. Schick thus expanded the safe leadership against pitiable Fürth personally in the direction of debacle. Bayer is still third, Fürth is last, with just one point from 14 games – and a goal difference of minus 34. The relegation is firmly booked.

1. FSV Mainz 05 – VfL Wolfsburg 3: 0 (2: 0), Goals: 1-0 Burkhardt (2nd), 2-0 Stach (4th), 3-0 Lacroix (90th, own goal)

Mainz are not normally responsible for any Bundesliga scoring records, this afternoon they are: The early 2-0 by Burkhardt and Stach in the first four minutes of the game was not only the fastest two-and-a-half of the season; it was also the fastest 2-0 lead for Mainz in their Bundesliga history. Strangely enough, this lightning start against the Champions League participant from Wolfsburg was enough for a safe home win. Wolfsburg made a worrying impression at times. Shortly before the final whistle, defender Lacroix also scored an own goal.

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim – Eintracht Frankfurt 3: 1 (2: 1), Goals: 0: 1 Borre (15th), 1: 1 Geiger (24th), 2: 1 Rutter (30th), 3: 1 Samassekou (59th, according to video evidence)

Both teams were able to show steeply upward curves before the game. TSG had lined up three home wins without conceding a goal, and Frankfurt had three wins and one draw. In the end, the Hoffenheim run continued. Dennis Geiger responded to the Eintracht opening goal by Rafael Borre (15th) after a corner with a remarkable shot, which hit Kevin Trapp in a high arc to make it 1-1 (24th). Six minutes later Georginio Rutter used a badly blocked ball to turn the game around. Diadie Samassekou (59th) scored the third Hoffenheim goal. The Frankfurt countermeasures paid off when Goncalo Paciencia sucked in a flank from Filipp Kostic with his chest and shot in after a fluid turn. But it wasn’t enough anymore. Hoffenheim now even occupies a Champions League place.

FC Augsburg – VfL Bochum 2: 3 (0: 3), Goals: 0: 1 Polter (23rd), 0: 2 Holtmann (40th), 0: 3 Polter (45th + 2), 1: 3 Gregoritsch (57th), 2: 3 Caligiuri (86th, penalty kick)

Before the game, Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl had praised his team, he saw an “identity and a team that fights and runs for each other and believes in it until the end”. The end was apparently reached against Bochum five minutes before the half-time whistle. Gerit Holtmann increased the Bochum lead by Sebastian Polter (23rd). Polter headed two minutes into stoppage time, watched by three FCA defenders, to make it 3-0. After the break, the Augsburgers showed the virtues that their coach had attributed to them. They fought for each other, ran, believed in it. They launched an assault, even scored two goals, but the rearing up could not make up for the break-in shortly before the break whistle.

Arminia Bielefeld – 1. FC Cologne 1: 1 (0: 1), Goals: 0: 1 Özcan (17th), 1: 1 Lasme (59th)

Such a 1: 1 always sounds like gray rainy weather in November. But the draw at the Bielefelder Alm was part of the upscale entertainment. The Bielefeld team fired 16 shots on goal, ten the Cologne team. The teams shared the two halves fraternally. For Cologne, Salih Özcan was successful early on after an urgent phase, but broke in as far as possible in round two. Bielefeld only developed punch shortly before half-time. But it took Frank Kramer to replace him to break the spell. About two minutes after entering the field, Bryan Lasme met with a Bielefeld throw-in (59th). Neither coach succeeded in such a happy substitution. It remained a draw – with Cologne waiting for an away win and Bielefeld for a home win.
