“Bild” and Sky reported that a defeat against Hertha BSC on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky) would mean the separation of the club from the 45-year-old. Matarazzo only took office in February and has since lost all five league games with TSG. His team only scored two goals. The club declined to comment on the reports when asked.
Matarazzo only had to leave VfB Stuttgart in October. At that time, the coach was unsuccessful in the first nine Bundesliga games. In the meantime, VfB is in relegation rank 16, while the Kraichgauers have fallen to last place in the table. Matarazzo’s predecessor was André Breitenreiter, who only succeeded Sebastian Hoeneß in the summer.
