For Sané, who recently had problems with the patellar tendon in his knee, 18-year-old Mathys Tel has moved into Bayern’s starting line-up. Minjae Kim takes the place of the suspended Matthijs de Ligt in Munich’s central defense.
Before the 24th Bundesliga matchday, Bayern are eight points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen in second place. Freiburg is ninth.
