Bayern still without Dier – Goretzka and Coman on the bench

Winter newcomer Eric Dier is not yet in FC Bayern’s squad at the start of the football year. The captain is playing an anniversary game.
FC Bayern Munich will play the Bundesliga home game against TSG Hoffenheim without a new addition Eric Dier. The 29-year-old defender is not in the squad of the German football record champions.
Dier, who will be officially presented in Munich on Saturday, was only signed by Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.
For the second-placed team’s game, which is dedicated to the memory of Franz Beckenbauer, who died on Sunday, coach Thomas Tuchel will be without Leon Goretzka in the starting line-up. Raphaël Guerreiro plays alongside Joshua Kimmich in defensive midfield. After problems in training, winger Kingsley Coman initially sits on the bench like Goretzka. That’s why veteran Thomas Müller is in the starting line-up.
The team is led by captain Manuel Neuer, who is playing his 500th competitive game for FC Bayern. The 37-year-old goalkeeper is now level with Bastian Schweinsteiger.
