The Prime Minister’s Conference has spoken out in favor of introducing a 2G regulation in retail. Clubs and discos are slated to close when the incidence exceeds 350. Chancellor Merkel announced this after the deliberations.

The federal and state governments have agreed on stricter corona rules that should apply nationwide. In shops, as well as at cultural and leisure events, access will only be given to people vaccinated against the coronavirus or those who have recovered from an infection. This is what Chancellor Angela Merkel said after discussions with her designated successor Olaf Scholz (SPD) and the 16 prime ministers.

Clubs and discos are closed when there are high numbers of corona infections due to the risk of infection. This applies from a seven-day incidence of 350 new infections per 100,000 population.

The sale of firecrackers and fireworks on New Year’s Eve is again banned this year. There should be a ban on fireworks at public places.

Merkel spoke of an “act of national solidarity”. This is necessary to lower the infections and to relax the situation at the hospitals.
