271 passengers and 13 crew members are on the plane from Madrid to Buenos Aires when severe turbulence sets in. When the plane finally lands, twelve injured people are being treated.

Twelve passengers were injured in severe turbulence during a flight from Madrid to Buenos Aires. Nine were treated after landing at Ezeiza Airport near the Argentine capital, airline Aerolíneas Argentinas said on Wednesday.

Three others were taken to a hospital for treatment. Apparently, hand luggage had fallen out of the compartments, it said.

The newspaper “La Nacíon” published photos of passengers with bandages on their heads and noses. The Airbus 330 had encountered turbulence over the Atlantic near Brazil. 271 passengers and 13 crew members were on the plane of the Argentine airline Aerolíneas Argentinas. There was no major damage to the machine, the airline said.
