It would almost become routine for them … Last summer, the seven boys of BTS unveiled with great fanfare the video for Dynamite, their first song performed entirely in English. At the time, 20 minutes reported that they had broken the record for the most viewed video in 24 hours on YouTube. No, we are not in a time loop but, almost a year later, the band broke their own record again on May 21, 2021 with Butter.
Second single fully sung in English, the music video Butter Recorded 112.8 million views in 24 hours, according to YouTube’s public view counter. As if that weren’t enough, BTS also set a second record with their new song: 3.9 million fans simultaneously tuned in live to check out this clip.
Even if they obviously do not need a special promotion to hit the mark, the members of BTS will perform on the stage of the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday, May 23. They will interpret there Butter for the first time live. The seven boys are also nominated in four categories: Best Duo / Group, Best Social Artist, Best Selling Artist, and Best Selling Song for Dynamite.
