Brunnthal: rear-end collision at the south triangle – district of Munich

Two people were slightly injured in a rear-end collision on the A8 towards Munich shortly before the Munich-South motorway junction on Sunday afternoon. In the heavy traffic, a 40-year-old Austrian realized too late that the driver of the car in front of him, a 29-year-old man from Munich, had to brake. Both cars were so badly damaged in the impact that followed that they had to be towed away. In total, damage to property amounted to around 13,000 euros. The two drivers each suffered minor injuries and were treated by the local ambulance service. The passenger of the 29-year-old was unharmed, as were the two children of the person who caused the accident. The right lane was closed for about an hour to recover the vehicles, and the resulting traffic jam stretched back to the Holzkirchen junction.
