The municipality of Brunnthal is not allowed to return to the working group wind energy Hofoldinger Forst (Arge) and is therefore trying to build rotors on its own. The remaining consortium communities of Aying, Otterfing and Sauerlach have now clearly rejected an application for Brunnthal’s resumption: They have founded a GmbH and see no place in it for Brunnthal, which left the consortium in March 2021, to build a wind turbine on its own property to prevent. Sauerlach’s Mayor Barbara Bogner (independent) is critical of the fact that the municipal council only approved the return in July with eleven votes to seven: In their three municipalities, they usually made unanimous decisions, she says. Brunnthal’s Mayor Stefan Kern (CSU) now wants to negotiate a site security contract for wind turbines with the state forests, with the backing of the municipal council, in order to set up their own systems in the form of a citizen model. A meeting should take place “soon”, said Kern.
