If there was any need to prove that the New York cultural scene is flourishing again, it was provided in a spectacular way in the middle of this week: Carnegie Hall opened after a year and a half pandemic break with a concert by the Philadelphia Orchestra under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin. The stage, finally full of musicians again. The hall, finally full of an audience again. And what a sound.
