After several stormy months, Brittany Ferries finally sees a patch of blue sky. Weighed down by the Covid crisis and Brexit, the shipping company had narrowly avoided sinking, before being saved by exceptional aid of 45 million euros in 2021. Since then, its ships have returned to sea and transported approximately 1.7 million travelers last year. A fairly slow restart for Brittany Ferries, which had traveled 2.27 million people on its lines in 2019.
The year 2023 presents itself this time under better skies for the Breton company, whose headquarters are in Roscoff (Finistère). At the start of the year, it has thus recorded a 20% increase in reservations compared to the same period last year, “i.e. 125,000 additional passengers”, it indicates in a press release.
Steward or cook positions to be filled
To cope with this renewed activity, Brittany Ferries announces the recruitment of 800 people for its next season, which runs from April to October. In particular, it is looking for stewards, sailors, cooks, station attendants or mechanical assistants and nurses. To find its teams, the shipping company will be present at numerous trade fairs and will organize several job dating events, including one to be held on February 9 aboard the ship.
