Times are tumultuous for Jamie Spears after Britney Spears’ new attorney, Mathew Rosengart, instructs him to turn all documents over to guardianship.

A follow-up court hearing has been arranged for November 12th. And the time until then will most likely be used extensively by Spears’ attorney. Since Jamie Spears was responsible for and managed his daughter’s finances, all of his machinations and actions are now being tracked. If Britneys’ agents find out that money has been misappropriated, for example, Jamie Spears can be held accountable.
The revelations in the New York Times documentary “Controlling Britney Spears” will most likely also play a role in Rosengart’s plans. Because according to the film, Britney Spears was even monitored with cameras and bugs in her bedroom. It is quite possible that Jamie Spears could be charged with possible security breaches. Rosengart has already announced that his client’s father “is and should be particularly worried”.
Upgrade for the future
As a result, Jamie Spears’ previous attorneys Holland & Knight and representative Vivian Thoreen resigned from their mandate. Instead, Spears has now hired Alex Weingarten to represent him in a potential legal battle. That could drag on for years. A job his original lawyers apparently had no interest in.
For the pop singer herself, one question currently remains unanswered. As Britney Spears herself said in court in June, she wants to avoid further psychological evaluation. She had been forced to do this for years and just wanted to enjoy her freedom. However, it is questionable whether the judge will allow Brenda Penny to terminate the guardianship without a health report.
