Prince William’s wife can play the piano. She showed it at a Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey.

The British Duchess Kate (39) surprised the guests of a Christmas concert in Westminster Abbey in London with an interlude on the piano.

Together with the pop star Tom Walker, she was seen in a recording in which she accompanied a song on the piano in a part of the church that was lit with candles. She wore a red coat and loose hair and looked almost relaxed on the grand piano. The concert, which had already taken place on December 8th, was broadcast on the British broadcaster ITV on Christmas Eve.

Walker was deeply impressed by the Duchess of Cambridge’s piano skills. Kate only rehearsed the song with him in the studio a few times in secret sessions. “She hit the bull’s eye and I was so surprised how well she kept tact (…),” said Walker, according to the PA news agency.

At the event entitled “Royal Carols: Together At Christmas”, the audience was allowed to sing along with a few Christmas carols. The so-called carol singing (singing Christmas carols) is an integral part of the Advent season in Great Britain. Prince William (39) read the Christmas story from the Gospel of Luke. Also at the concert were William’s cousins Princess Beatrice (33) and Zara Tindall (40) with their husbands as well as Prince Edward’s wife, Countess Sophie Wessex (56).
