The Oasis brothers are big Manchester City fans. Noel Gallagher is spared an embarrassing appearance after the triumph in the premier class. His brother Liam is ready for an approach.

The Oasis guitarist and Manchester City fan Noel Gallagher was spared a half-naked performance after the Champions League success despite the party mood. “If City wins and Haaland scores a hat-trick, I’ll appear in my underpants,” the 56-year-old joked in an interview on Manchester City’s website before the final against Inter Milan. A promise that the singer didn’t have to keep after Manchester’s Rodri scored 1-0 on Saturday.

Due to a concert in San Diego, the Manchester-born rock star and long-time City fan was unable to attend the Istanbul stadium. Instead, according to social media, he followed the football game with other supporters in a bar in the coastal city of California. After the game, fans around him chanted the well-known Oasis hit “Don’t Look Back In Anger.”

“Tonight the rain will taste like champagne in Manchester,” Gallagher told BT Sport, predicting the club’s trophy-bashing is far from over. “That’s just the beginning.”

If Liam Gallagher, who is six years his junior and also a self-confessed City supporter, has his way, Man City’s Champions League success could be the basis for a reunion of the British band Oasis. Asked by a fan on Twitter in mid-May if the band, which had split since 2009, would return if Man City won the tournament, the 50-year-old singer replied: “I’m ready to go.”
