Francesca Bridgerton gets a facelift. In the third season of the Netflix hit “Bridgerton” actress and model Hannah Dodd (26) will take on the role as reported by the industry portal “Deadline”.. The young actress confirms the message on her Instagram profile.
Previously, her colleague Ruby Stokes had embodied Francesca Bridgerton. Dodd comments that she is scared but will give everything in the role. It had already become known in March that Stokes would no longer be seen in the future. “I love Francesca, but we lost her in the middle of season two,” said showrunner Chris Van Dusen revealed to the website “TVLine” ahead of the launch of the new episodes.
“Bridgerton”-Aus because of another series
Van Dusen explained at the time that Stokes was only able to film for three episodes because the actress was in front of the camera for another Netflix series instead. Stokes will star in “Lockwood & Co,” the streaming service also announced in March. According to Deadline, auditions are currently taking place for new roles in Bridgerton season three. Filming for the new episodes is scheduled to begin in London this summer.
It was only recently announced that “Bridgerton” has set a new Netflix record. According to the streaming service, the second season of the romance recorded more than 656 million viewing hours in the first 28 days after its release. The new episodes even surpassed the episodes of the first season, which had previously led the list of the most streamed English-language series with over 625 million viewing hours.
