Fiancée talks about his accident death
Brandon Lee was injured while filming The Crow and later died in hospital.

After the accident on the set of “Rust”, Eliza Hutton spoke up. Her fiancé, Brandon Lee, died in a similar incident.
Brandon Lee (1965-1993) died around 28 years ago after an accident with a gun on the set of “The Crow”. A fragment of a bullet fatally hit the son of martial arts legend Bruce Lee (1940-1973). He was 28 years old. After the camerawoman Halyna Hutchins died in a similar accident while filming the western “Rust”, Brandon Lee’s fiancée at the time, Eliza Hutton (57), spoke up.
An “avoidable tragedy”
Opposite to Hutton called the set accident on “Rust” “People” another “avoidable tragedy”. For the first time she spoke about the death of her fiancé. “Twenty-eight years ago I was shocked by the shock and grief over the pointless loss of the love of my life, Brandon Lee”. The two had planned their wedding for shortly after the filming was finished.
If she thinks today of the husband and son of the camerawoman Hutchins, who turned 42, it hurts Hutton’s heart again. You urge those responsible to “consider alternatives to real weapons on the set,” she explains. “There is no such thing as prop guns,” she wrote earlier on a private Instagram account.
Real firearms are often used on film sets, but no live ammunition. While filming in the US state of New Mexico, a shot was apparently accidentally fired a few days ago when the actor Alec Baldwin (63) was rehearsing with a prop weapon that was handed to him. Halyna Hutchins was fatally injured, and director Joel Souza (48), who was also hit, is said to be on the mend.
Lee’s sister also got in touch
Lee’s sister Shannon (52) had recently commented on Twitter. On an account on which Lee remembered her late brother, she wrote: “At heart we are with Halyna Hutchins’ family, Joel Souza and everyone involved in the Rust incident. Nobody should ever hear of one Firearm being killed on a movie set. “
