In a statement, Anne told Heche’s family that Heche’s brain injuries from the accident were so severe that she would not survive. They wanted to donate their organs, that was their wish, then they would be taken off the life-support machines.

The police are still investigating how the accident happened, and Heche may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Played alongside Harrison Ford, among others

The 53-year-old celebrated success in Hollywood, especially in the 90s, including alongside Harrison Ford in “Six Days, Seven Nights”.

She was also seen in the action film “Volcano” or in the horror teen film “I Know What You Did Last Summer”, later she played in a remake of the Hitchcock classic “Psycho”.

Often in the headlines

Regarding her role in Hollywood, she recently said on the talk show “The Real”: “They told me I was like a wild animal that was let out of a cage!” The blonde actress is making a name for herself in Hollywood, with a wide variety of headlines from her private life.

Born in Aurora, Ohio, Heche was the youngest of four children and grew up poor. She suffered from her father’s sexual assaults, she said in an autobiography and on various talk shows, including on Barbara Walters in 2001:

I grew up in a crazy family, it took 31 years to lose the crazy. I lived in a fantasy world, had an alternate personality called Celestia, and developed a fourth dimension for myself!

Three years with Ellen DeGeneres

From 1997 to 2000, she dated presenter and actress Ellen DeGeneres. When their relationship broke down and Anne Heche married cameraman Colemann Laffoon, she hardly got any more role offers in Hollywood and was avoided because of her bisexuality:

I got canceled! I was asked are you a lesbian or straight? Today all this is better understood. It was then: there is only one or the other!

Heche is divorced, from the marriage and another relationship she has two sons aged 13 and 20.

In recent years, Anne Heche has appeared repeatedly on Broadway and in various TV roles. One of her last films will probably be shown on TV in the USA in September: In “The Girl in Room 13” she plays a mother who is looking for her kidnapped daughter.
