Anti-aging products are ‘ridiculous’

Brad Pitt (58) will be celebrating his 60th birthday in just over two years. It’s no coincidence that the Hollywood star is concerned about getting older. In an interview with “Vogue” he makes it clear that he “doesn’t want to run away from it”. You can’t “escape” aging. Pitt would “like to see our culture embrace that a little more.” That’s why he doesn’t think much of anti-aging products that are supposed to make you look younger. “It’s ridiculous. It’s a fairy tale,” emphasizes the 58-year-old. “But what’s real is treating the skin in a healthy way.”

Brad Pitt has just created his own gender-neutral skincare line, dubbed “Le Domaine.” The products are based on grapes and olive oil from his Château Miraval winery in southern France. The fruits are said to have an antioxidant effect. Pitt elaborates, “I think we’re learning that if we love ourselves, if we treat ourselves a little better, it pays off in the long run.” That means “in a healthy way [zu] aging”.

“The older I get, the more I think about quality of life and time commitment,” says the actor. “I think post-lockdown, a lot of people have thought about how we spend our time, why we work so hard, what we put our lives into. And I think at the end of the day, family and friends are the only things counts.”

Pitt has children with fellow actress and ex-wife Angelina Jolie (47), Maddox (21), Pax (18), Zahara (17), Shiloh (16), Vivienne (14) and Knox (14). The actor not only likes to spend time with his offspring, but also raves about his life on his winery. There the actor enjoys the exchange with friends and fellow artists, as he tells “Vogue”. The idea behind Château Miraval has “always” been a community of artists, he says. “It’s really nice to see how this is developing.”
