Three NSYNC band members were allowed to appear in front of the camera as Jedi Knights for a “Star Wars” film. However, getting the footage is not that easy, even for the participants.

The singers Justin Timberlake (42) and Lance Bass (44) said they were jealous of their three NSYNC bandmates were allowed to record a cameo as Jedi Knights for the 2002 “Star Wars” film. Chris Kirkpatrick (51), JC Chasez (47) and Joey Fatone (46) were even instructed in fighting with a laser sword, as Chasez tells in the interview series “Hot Ones”. Timberlake said: “Me and Lance were so offended.”

“But they were cut out anyway,” Bass adds in the interview, and Timberlake imitates his own gleeful grin from back then. One reason that the recorded scene was not shown in “Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones” as planned was the protest of some “Star Wars” fans.

Fatone said he has been trying to get the recorded material for a long time and has already asked the producer about it. “Let’s get the footage please,” he said, “I want to see it!” A cameo appearance is a short scene with a star in a film or series.

Last week it was announced that the boy band, which broke up in 2002, had recorded a song together again after a break of more than 20 years. “Better Place” is scheduled to be released on September 29th.
