Borowski investigates around the Wacken Open Air
A dead infant, a premature baby, is found in a parking lot near Kiel. Where is the mother? Did she kill her child? A found entry wristband for the heavy metal festival in Wacken leads Klaus Borowski and Mila Sahin to the small, sleepy town where everyone knows everyone and where tens of thousands of music fans will cover all traces in a few days. Initial investigations lead to festival caterer Michi Berger, who apparently recently took a young woman and her baby with him in the car.
He maintains a secret relationship with the undertaker Meike. Their son Jan was out with his heavy metal band on the night the baby disappeared and observed something he doesn’t want to share with anyone. And what does Sarah, who is heavily pregnant, have to hide when she reacts so dismayed to the news of the dead child? The longing for perfect happiness drives all the characters and ultimately becomes a deadly trap.
Filmed in and around Wacken – also at the metal festival
The episode was filmed in Wacken – also at the famous Wacken Open Air Festival. The Heavy metal festival was an important filming location for the case. It wasn’t just filmed on the festival site, but also in the community of 2,000 residents. During filming, residents were able to see the detectives during their investigations and take a look behind the scenes of the series.

This episode marks an anniversary for main actor Axel Milberg: He has been playing the Kiel inspector for 20 years 2018 with Almila Bagriacik as Mila Sahin.
He appreciates a lot about the role of Klaus Borowski, which he has developed over the two decades, as he tells Norddeutscher Rundfunk: “He doesn’t judge too quickly, he listens, observes, sometimes acts stupid, doesn’t shoot I like it so much, so for some people he isn’t bold and hot-tempered enough. But I like that about him. Good and evil are not his topic. But why and how?”.
Nicholas Monu, Bärbel Schwarz, Marven Gabriel Suarez-Brinkert, Thomas Kügel, Anja Antonowicz, Victoria Trauttmansdorff and Regine Hentschel star in the episode.
